This is a made to order piece. Please note the approximate ship date. The purchased item will look almost identical to the pictured item with subtle one of a kind variations. The lid shape will vary the most because each hide is unique & I use the raw rough edges to guide my design. There are 5 examples of Thistle variations in the pictures. Thistle is lightweight mossy green leather. The leather gathers at the seams during hand stitching. The bag is curvy, earthy & glamorous. The rough cuts of hide inspire all of my designs. I use the rough cut curves to guide the leaves. The dimensions below include the side leaf flair. Thistle has a metal spiked screws on the lid & side panels as well as 2 metal rings used for securing the contents of the main compartment. (The spiked screws can be removed by twisting off) The lid folds over the main pouch. Pull the security strap through both rings & back through the bottom ring. The lid has a pocket stitched to the inside. The lid pocket is great for gloves, hat or scarf. 2 small rings & small security strap keep the lid pocket closed. Metal rings are used on the adjustable shoulder strap. Pull the strap through both rings & back through the bottom ring. Matching metal rings are also used to attach the strap to the side panels. All the metal is the same material. You can choose between an adjustable or shoulder strap at checkout. The main compartment has 1 pocket stitched to the outside. The edges of the pocket & main compartment are gathered, making pouches for your belongings. I used various stitch designs through out the piece. All the stitches & holes were punched by me. I used tan colored waxed thread especially made for hand stitching leather. It is strong & durable. At checkout you can choose bronze or silver hardware & to add beads with fringe in respectable hardware colors (example: silver hardware with beads, green fringe or bronze hardware with crimps & green fringe).
